TRANSPORTATION PLANNING STUDIES

Transportation Planning Consulting Services - In Anderson County, SC; Greenville County, SC; Conway, SC; and Hilton Head Plantation, Hilton Head Island, SC, Sprague & Sprague provided consulting services in transportation planning (long-range as well as traffic impact of specific developments).

 Roadway Needs Studies - As a subcontractor, Sprague & Sprague conducted capacity analyses for current and proposed intersections and roadway segments with current and future traffic volumes in order to recommend needed cross sections and intersection layouts for roadway projects in Charlotte, NC, Greenville, SC, Summerville, SC, Woodruff, SC, Anderson, SC, Clemson, SC and Savannah, GA. 

 Corridor  Studies – Sprague & Sprague studied the traffic which is expected to result from redevelopment of a corridor near downtown Greenville, SC.  The effects of multiple nearby projects were considered, and short-term and long-term recommendations were made.  Also in Greenville, Sprague & Sprague provided local liaison to the planning firm which developed a master plan for a suburban corridor.  Sprague & Sprague conducted the traffic studies and observations necessary to assist the City of Clemson, SC, in developing a plan for the corridor leading into downtown.  As a subconsultant, Sprague & Sprague conducted traffic analyses for development of a plan for the Columbia Avenue corridor in Chapin, South Carolina.

 Areawide Transportation Study – Sprague & Sprague conducted data collection and acted as local liaison for the development of a transportation improvement program by the prime consultant in Clemson, South Carolina.  In Charleston, SC, Sprague & Sprague conducted a traffic study for the development of an entire island with mixed uses.  Future traffic control, lane use at intersections, and mid-block cross sections were recommended. The firm is currently a subconsultant in developing the Greenville-Pickens Long Range Transportation Plan.
